In a couple of days Christopher, my eldest son, will be leaving for Haiti for 10 days. He, and the team he is with, will be serving the people of Haiti every day. The purpose - to show them the love of Christ! While I am so blessed my son loves to serve God in other countries, I am equally blessed by the fact that he loves to serve God here in the United States!

Every day I wake up with one thing on my mind - reaching a generation! The statistics are simple, and unchanging: 66% of the WWII Generation would confess Christ - 33% of Boomers - 16% of Busters (that's me) - and only 4% of the youngest generation alive confess Christ!

We are becoming an unreached people group!

It is that generation that I will give my life fighting for! God has a heart for the individual, city, nation, and world. But it is also very clear in the Bible that He has a heart for generations!

Life can come and go every day, but the question is - what are you fighting for? There is a generation that needs you! I can tell you firsthand that it is the greatest generation to ever live - they are worth fighting for!

I am so proud of my son, and his friends, for their willingness to serve the cause of Christ! They don't mind the discomfort, inconvenience, or pain, because they have a vision for others. Let's follow their example!

I'm very proud of Christopher. He is such a polite young man and you guys should be congratulated on the way he's been raised.

I thought about that as well. Your sermon this past Sunday got me fired up to reach the people right in here in the U.S. Your sermon was alarming with the statistics you shared but it really made me think. I admire and appreciate your passion for reaching people for Christ and hope that others feel the Holy Spirit stirring their hearts to make a difference as well.
