Last night I took a little time and played some sand volleyball with some of our High School students. While I looked like an old fool out there trying to keep up, I had a blast simply hanging out with them.
While I was out there playing, my mind (which never stops - which is not always good) was racing with thoughts. One of those thoughts was the simple question, why do I love this generation so much?
Here are a few thoughts, that I will probably continue next week:
- They are passionate!
- They are selfless!
- They are spiritually hungry!
- They dream big!
- They take risks!
- They are the hope of our nation and world! (Christ in them, that is)
And the list goes on and on! In the coming days I'll unpack a few more thoughts about why I love this generation!

Re: Why I love the younger generation
Awesome perspective. I've always seen it but it never registered until I understood Journey’s vision. Ever considered pursuing this generation at a national level? Just curious...
