“Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Give careful thought to your ways.  You have planted much, but have harvested little…In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.  I will shake the nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with the glory…the glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house… and in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the lord almighty.” Haggai 1:5,6; 2:6-9

May of this year I read this passage of scripture to the East Campus—a passage of scripture I believe strongly supports leadership’s decision to move the East Campus and definitely affirms the hand of God on this house.

September 13 we launched the new East Campus and God’s word was truth and good!  Check it out:

It’s tough to explain how incredible launch Sunday truly was, but here I go…

·      Over a hundred volunteers, over the last two weeks, poured out their time, energy, talents, and resources to prepare the new East Campus

·      One volunteer went to work for two weeks as early as 3:30am to put in full day at work just so he could put in a full night of volunteering

·      One young lady served until 9p, went directly to college lifestream, then returned the following night to serve again

·      Multiple businesses donated their skilled staff to work at the East Campus for an entire day.

·      One of JourneyChurch.tv maintenance staff worked overtime at the East Campus.  Following the completion of his task, he turned around and volunteered his time while serving along side his wife.

These are just a few of the stories.  I continue on…

·      Over 500 people worshiped passionately, served graciously, and gave generously on re-launch Sunday.

·      Several people raised their hands as they made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

·      Four people singed up to be baptized.

·      Several first time visitors.

·      Over 50 people volunteered to be on the usher, greeter, hospitality, media, care, and prayer teams.

Most importantly...

              ·God’s presence was there!

And to think it is just the beginning.  The last couple of Sundays has only continued to affirm God’s vision for this house!  He is good!
